  1. Discomfort as Design Principle: Most learning initiatives prioritize comfort and ease of adoption. We find organizations need to flip this assumption—designing learning experiences that intentionally create productive discomfort.
  2. Measurement and Assessment: Fear of failure is the top-voted barrier to a growth mindset culture for senior leaders and employees. Organizations lack reliable metrics for assessing and tracking the development of discomfort tolerance.
  3. Leadership Modeling: 90% say that leaders should lead by example to foster a culture of growth, yet we find limited practical guidance for how leaders can model productive discomfort engagement.
